My Background

I have taken the long and winding road to become an artist.  After doing the corporate shuffle most of my life and raising an amazing family; the COVID years gave me quiet time in paradise to explore and learn how to "put paint on canvas" and I have been practicing ever since!  I strive to portray these beautiful islands that have been our home for almost a decade. 

Working with Acrylic, Charcoal and other mediums, I try to portray the beauty of the islands and the diverse natural world.  My paintings tell stories of nature being nature (as in this painting entitled "Dinner"). 

You will often see Mangroves featured in my work.  It is so inspiring to enjoy a quiet paddle through tunnels, or a lazy snorkel expedition anywhere in the Keys. There are so many ways to get out in nature here and I love them all!  My favorite is to boat to a rookery right around sunset to watch all the birds coming in for the night.
